About the Presentation Social location consists of eight attributes that define you and influence your perception of the world. Understanding your social location helps you gain a better understanding of yourself as a decision-maker and helps identify your unconscious biases. Social location also provides insights into the perceptions, decision-making, and unconscious biases of others. This session will provide participants with an opportunity to better understand their own social location and the social location of others. The impact of social location on decision-making models will be explored. Group discussions will encourage participants to ask hard questions about how and why they make decisions. Learning Objectives: · Link the importance of good decision-making to the project management profession via the Standard for Project Management and the PMBOK® Guide · Discuss the power of perceptions · Introduce social location and its impact on decision-making · Gain a better understanding of how and why individuals make decisions About Kristine A.
