Bio

Tariq Shaikh

Tariq Shaikh is a Project Management Professional with over 40 years of Engineering and Program Management experience. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He has managed large global programs in diverse industries, including Defense, Aerospace, Telecoms, IT, Consumer Electronics, Oil and Gas and Construction.  Tariq has played key roles in establishing Program Management as a recognized function, establishing Program Management Offices, hiring, training and mentoring project management staff and cross-functional teams and peers for several Fortune 500 companies. He has been frequently leading strategic initiatives including organizational spin-offs and footprint consolidation projects.

As the Innovation and Technology Champion, Tariq is leading organizational change in ITT to create a complete innovation ecosystem by aligning culture and leadership, innovation & business strategy, portfolio management and program management governance across diverse business units supporting new product development programs for aerospace, defense, transportation and oil and gas industries.

Tariq joined PMI in 2000 and has been an active volunteer for the Orange County Chapter since 2005. He is a fellow of PMI Orange County Chapter and has also served on the Chapter’s Boards of Governors/Directors as the President, VP Communications, VP Finance, IT Director and Director of Strategic Initiatives. He is a regular instructor at PMP Workshops and an occasional Speaker at ATS.

Non-Members $50 pre-registered,

For walk-in registrations, cash or check are accepted.

Cancellation Policy:

Reservations must be cancelled no later than 10 pm PST three days prior to the event in order to receive a refund. All cancellations (including duplicate registrations) are subject to a 10% Administrative fee. To cancel, send an email to registration_cancel@pmi-oc.org and include your name and event.
