2024 July 9th Dinner Meeting (Hybrid) - 1.5 PDUs
From Missteps to Milestones: Understanding Failure as a Necessary Component of Success
Speaker: John D. Nguyen
July 9, 2024
Presentation Description |
Description of Topic/Presentation: Failure - that may be a sensitive subject for you. (We can all relate!) As project managers, failure is a reality. We encounter a variety of changes and obstacles in the complex work of managing people and projects, and countless opportunities arise for both success or failure. Wouldn’t it be great to more confidently navigate failure in your work? Because failure is often a part of this process and growth, we must proactively dictate critical success factors in our project to learn from, recover, and minimize future occurrences. One might even boldly say: we must embrace failure. Understanding and learning from failure as a structured process is valuable for both the individual leader and their team(s). Join us at the July Dinner Meeting as we discuss the seen and unseen elements that affect a project’s completion, and ultimately its success or failure based on case studies, current research, and realistic challenges that we all face. Who knows, you may even reconsider a past “failure” to be one of your greatest wins! Example Learning Objectives:
