Speaker Bio(s)
Billy Spears, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer at loanDepot, oversees enterprise cybersecurity, privacy, and records management practices. He has more than 20 years’ experience as a collaborative business partner and possesses deep expertise across the cyber security, privacy, and risk management fields. Billy has a passion for architecting and implementing strategic solutions that build trust, enable resilience, and incorporate core principles that drive transformation while simplifying business processes. He strongly believes in raising awareness, influencing positive change and disrupting the category norm using forward thinking techniques.
Prior to this role, Spears held similar positions at Hyundai Capital America, General Electric, Dell, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the United States Marine Corps. Spears graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information technology from National University and later obtained an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.
He currently serves on a number of strategic advisory boards and participates in local CISO groups to evangelize his craft through outreach. Billy is an Advisory Board Member for OpenText, Venafi, MediaPRO and Webster University. He also serves as a Southern California Co-Chair for Evanta’s CISO community events, Orange County CISO Round Table, and hosts CISO Moderator Series Events. Billy is also honored to serve as an adjunct professor at Webster University. Mr. Spears was awarded the 2018 Global CISO Breakaway Influence Leader by Evanta, A Gartner Company.
Billy has a passion for giving back to the industry while sharing inspiration and innovation with the community. He is a visual communicator that continues to be asked to serve as a keynote speaker across industry related conferences and events.

Online registration at the "Early Bird" pricing is available until 12:00pm noon PT four days before the scheduled event. “Advanced" pricing is available until 12:00pm noon PT 1 day before the scheduled event. Reservations made after that time will be charged the "At the Door/Walk-in" pricing and must be made in person on day-of at the event. For online registrations, we accept only credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express using PayPal) and payment must be paid in full at the time of registration. For walk-in registrations, we accept cash and checks only. Cancellation Policy
Reservations must be canceled no later than 10 pm PST two days prior to the event in order to receive a refund. All cancellations (including duplicate registrations) are subject to a 10% Administrative Fee. To cancel, send an email to registration_cancel@pmi-oc.org and include your name and the event.
