About the Presentation

Use the lean concept of A3 Thinking to deliver results. Combine project management expertise with key lean techniques to deliver improvement results. Understand how to align project management and process improvement to navigate a project from problem identification to solution sustainability. A3 Thinking provides a guide to facilitate improvement projects while also allowing for a method to communicate progress. At the end of the session, project managers will understand the power of A3 to combine the strengths of lean process improvement with project management structure.

Learning Objectives:

·         Gain understanding of A3 Thinking as a Lean Methodology and be able to facilitate at a high-level.

·         Make connections between A3 Thinking and project management – leveraging tools to facilitate improvement.

About Amy Altomare

Dr. Amy Altomare has 16 years of experience in facilitating project management, operations management, and process improvement in the service industry. As the Program Director for Clinical Quality, Strategy, and Optimization at City of Hope, Amy facilitates the structure to support quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives in nursing. She earned her Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership in 2022. Amy also holds her Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Management Professional. Amy strives to produce innovative, team-driven solutions to opportunities while developing staff and managers to grow and advance.
