About the Presentation

After several years in project leadership, I pivoted to managing a large team focused on daily production activities. It was a young team (average tenure of less than 2 years) that had experienced many leadership changes, department realignments, and major rescoping of its remit. Many were burned out. In this session I will share how I approached the tremendous task of rebuilding trust, assessing talent, reshaping the team's vision, and creating a more collaborative environment. We'll discuss tactical tools for managing a diverse team and creating a sense of belonging, how to effectively delegate and succession plan, and how to reshape your personal brand and that of your team.

Learning Objectives:

·         Trust is foundational to a healthy team, and building it requires authenticity, logic, and empathy.

·         Invest in getting to know your team members and advocating for their wellbeing.

·         Inclusive leadership requires intentionality and building processes to ensure equity.

·         Inspire and empower your team to embrace a continuous improvement mindset.

·         Change Management messaging must appeal to the head and the heart.
