Communicating to Your C-Suite with Confidence
Speaker: Thomas Leffler, President & CRO of Project Insight
November 12, 2024
Presentation Description |
Description of Topic/Presentation: Project managers are often tasked with keeping leadership informed, especially when things don’t go as planned. This session, designed for PMPs and project managers, will equip you with the skills to communicate effectively with the C-suite, no matter the circumstances. Learn how to build strong relationships with leadership even before the project begins and discover strategies for delivering tough news—like requesting more budget or additional time—without eroding confidence. Thomas will provide insights on keeping executives engaged in your project’s status, managing tempo, and celebrating milestones with targeted, meaningful updates. This session will also dive into the art of recognizing key contributors and giving kudos to elevate team visibility. Additionally, it will cover how to work with executives who have differing personalities, as well as ways to educate leadership on Agile and other methodologies they may be less familiar with. Finally, gain strategies for navigating leadership transitions, such as when a new C-suite member joins mid-project, and tips for staying ahead by mastering your company's policies and contract processes. Leave this session confident in your ability to foster trust and transparency with your C-suite, ensuring that your projects not only succeed but are recognized for their achievements.
