Description of Topic/Presentation:

Have you struggled to speak up to leadership, pitch ideas, or actually enact impactful change in your organization? You’re not alone. Despite the desire, most of us struggle with the actual process and implementation of selling winsome ideas at work.

Using lessons and studies from his professional experience, Edan will engage the virtual audience with discussion questions, breakout rooms, and a challenge to assess their own potential for organizational change. This lecture will include insight into Edan’s review of the California energy landscape and his experience in the ever-growing energy space, examples of new product launches and start-ups, and breaking down the “why” as well as “how” of a successful pitch. This may even include bouncing back from rejection, or pivoting according to audience and environmental needs. Join us for the two-hour event on Zoom to learn and grow together!

2. Correctly assessing your audience for contextualized, successful pitching to teams and leaders in your organization.

Speaker Bio(s)

Edan Simpson 

Edan has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, and currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Siemens. His leadership led to the successful deployment of over 90 megawatts of Distributed Energy Technologies, pioneering California's first statewide energy efficiency program and spearheading the development of three innovative virtual power plant projects. Edan's commitment to a sustainable energy future is evident through their collaboration with industry leaders, advocacy for policy changes, and drive for technological advancements. Edan holds a BS in Business from California State University Fullerton.
