Business Realization Management Connecting Strategy and Project Management

Speaker: Joseph Parker

Company: Miltenyi Biotech

April 11, 2023

Presentation Description

Description of Topic/Presentation:

Business Realization Management (BRM) provides organizations with a way to measure how projects and programs add true value to the enterprise. Guiding the PMO PMI has developed this BRM Framework to help organizations effectively manage and realize project benefits. It provides a set of questions and good practices that project, program, and portfolio management professionals and leaders can use to help guide the identification, analysis, delivery, and sustainment of benefits that align to the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Getting the right team members involved.
  2. Managing the portfolio with purpose.
  3. Communication strategy to align executives and task-level team members.
  4. Investing in the right tools to allow transparency.
  5. At the PMO level, considering the organizational structure.

Value Add Initiative

~ NEW ~  Gift A Book, Get A Book!

This coming Dinner Meeting (April 11th, 5:30-8:30pm), we will launch a new initiative: the Free Little Library for PMI-OC members. Members will be able to "take one leave one" (a book) so that our members can share their favorite project management/professional development/leadership book with others, and enjoy a new book from others.

This program equips PMI-OC members to share knowledge and insights with one another through book exchanges via our "Free Little Library".

Join us at Tuesday evening's Dinner Meeting to switch out a book and explore new topics through our book exchange program.

All books must be new or lightly used and relevant to project management and leadership.
