Presentation Title:
Change Management – Leading Organizational Change
Presentation Topics:
- Change Management – Define, implement, and manage change through change management methods, tools, and techniques. Learn how to bring change to an organization by successfully completing projects utilizing both project management and change management best practices.
- Organizational Culture – Recognize and understand your organization’s unique culture. Learn how to leverage the best characteristics of the culture while mitigating the risk of the more challenging characteristics.
Practice Exercise:
- Learn what makes an organization’s culture and how to manage change within an organization to the benefit of the company. Understand the change curve and levers of power to breakdown resistance to change. Group exercises will reveal organizational cultural characteristics and the most effective methods to navigate toward successful project completion and acceptance.
Bio:
Derek W. Barraza, PMP
Derek Barraza is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with more than 30 years of experience delivering information technology solutions. He has performed various roles including Business Development, Account Executive, Customer Relationship Manager, Project Manager, Business Systems Analyst, Quality Assurance Manager, and Software Developer. Derek has consulted to numerous industries including automotive, aerospace, healthcare, insurance, finance, sales, and high tech. Derek’s experience includes several years in leadership roles at the local, regional, and national levels. He has served as a director and officer on several corporate boards and helped transform organizations.
Derek enjoys photography, soccer, reading, and community service. Derek and Cindy, his wife of 41 years, raised three sons and have one grandson.

This ATS will be delivered via online webinar. The link will be sent to all registered attendees on the Friday before the ATS.

For walk-in registrations, cash or check are accepted.

Cancellation Policy:
Reservations must be cancelled no later than 10 pm PST three days prior to the event in order to receive a refund. All cancellations (including duplicate registrations) are subject to a 10% Administrative fee. To cancel, send an email to registration_cancel@pmi-oc.org and include your name and event.
