Presentation Description

Three Learning Obectives:

  • How to manage call located, cross functional projects
  • What are the new virtual teams?
  • How to successfully engage virtual teams

Managing co-located projects are difficult, managing cross functional or multi-company projects are even harder.  When you add the additional dimension of virtual, things get really hard.  Virtual teams have become the new normal in many areas of technology project management.  The success of a virtual team depends on getting a number of things right at the beginning.  These include: team structure, common vision, excellent communications, leadership, establishing trust, a more detailed level of planning and monitoring.

This overview will give participants the opportunity and exposure to the key elements necessary to have a successful virtual project.
