Kaustubh has been a member for PMI-OC since 2012. He currently manages a portfolio of solutions focusing on the Criminal Justice and Public Security market and has more than 10 years of experience as a project/program manager applied in the field of biometrics. Kaustubh has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration from the New York University’s Stern School of Business. Kaustubh started volunteering for the chapter as part of the Finance Group since 2012 and has held various positions in the group including most recently the Director of Finance. One of his successes has been to identify efficiencies within the organization while focusing on improving member value. His goals for joining the PMI Board of Governors are to ensure alignment with the chapter mission and goal by helping grow the chapter and focusing on member satisfaction with increased offerings. He understands the importance of the role volunteers play in the success of the chapter and believes in empowering them in their efforts, while always appreciating and backing their dedication, hard work and commitment towards the chapter.
Amir Khamseh has been a member of PMI-OC since 2007. He has over 17 years experience as a project/program manager, working in the automotive and medical device industries. Amir has a PhD in engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and an Executive MBA from the University of California-Irvine Paul Merage School of Business. Amir served as the Director of Strategy for PMI-OC in 2011. His goals for joining PMI-OC chapter’s Board of Governors are to ensure alignment of organization’s mission and values with PMI, ensure alignment of organization’s mission and values with customer needs, and evaluate risks vs. benefits of PMI-OC provided programs and services.
Paya has been a diligent volunteer at PMI-OC for a number of years and was the Director of Online Programs before moving to his current position as the Vice President of Administration and Technology. He joined PMI-OC in 2016 as a volunteer to lead a team within the finance group.

Having spent over 20 years in various roles assisting corporate clients with legal matters and risk project management, I joined PMI-OC & PMI-LA chapters in August 2013 and began volunteering after completing my PMP, ACP, and ScrumMaster certifications, serving first as PMI-OC Contracts/Compliance Chair from 9/14 -4/15, and then promoted to Administrative Operations Director from 4/15 onward, creating a contracts review process, reviewing and assisting with drafting over 30 new initiative policies, election processes, and assistance with leadership meeting logistics. From 2013-2016, I served as PMI-LA’s South Bay chapter dinner meeting/ATS events site liaison, and earned a PMI-OC Volunteer of the Year for Admin & IT Award in 2016. Recent publications include SME Review Panel Contributions to PMI’s 10/16 Standard for Organizational Project Management First Edition (OPM) and PMI’s 1/17 Standard for Program Management Fourth Edition (PgMP). As a judge pro tem for L.A. Superior Court, troubleshooting is my strongest skill. I offer extensive chapter experience and continuity; PM curricula development expertise from my academic professional PM/Business program chair work; legal insights and financial forecasting skills from my J.D. and MBA; and experience running a trade group’s continuing education programs, dinner meeting and board events, conferences, and publications as the 2017 President of the Italian American Lawyers Association, an affiliate of the ABA, NIABA and California State Bar Associations.
Prateet is a self motivated individual with over 12 years of broad experience in the development of Medical Devices. Prateet has been managing and designing intricate products with complex systems and subsystems, with management of Mechanical and Electromechanical NPD projects. Currently, Prateet works as a Sr. Manager in Alcon Labs managing a large scale program that requires global collaboration and engineering. Prateet is also involved with portfolio prioritization for the R&D projects to ensure that right projects are funded as well as maintaining a healthy pipeline. As vice president, Prateet provides leadership in the continued development of the chapter’s strategic planning, including implementation of a PMO, project prioritization, and collaboration of the chapter’s hard-working volunteers and volunteer leadership teams. Prateet is building a high performing team that enhances both the membership and volunteer experience. In addition to having fun and being rewarding, Prateet’s goal is to ensure that the volunteer experience at PMI-OC can introduces positive influences that can be transferred to their professional life.
