Don’t miss the upcoming December Member Appreciation dinner meeting
Come join us for an evening of fun, networking, learning something new from the Army Special Forces presented by Joe Hudak, and giving back to the community. There will be raffles and prizes at the end of the evening.
PMI-OC is a big advocate for the Toys for Tots which is an initiative by the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve. The mission of this initiative is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
Please bring a new, unwrapped gift to donate to Toys for Tots.
The U.S. Army Special forces, aka The Green Berets, are famous for doing more with less. Special Forces operators are trained in expecting the unexpected (may sound familiar to project managers) from the first day of training.
Join us for a truly special evening, with our guest speaker Joe Hudak. Joe is a retired Special Forces Medic, who will bring his experience and insight dealing with change under what are often extreme and extraordinary circumstances. He will discuss the type of projects (missions) and people that are associated with the special forces, and how his experiences can be translated to a working world faced with dynamic changes, limited resources and an often uncertain business and political environment.
Joe Hudak is a retired Special Forces Medic with 20 years of active federal service and 11 deployments in support of Counterterrorism Operations for the U.S. Government. As a Green Beret Medic, Joe fought the drug war in Central and South America, and has conducted Counterterrorism Operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was awarded two Bronze Stars for his actions in Afghanistan and Iraq and two Meritorious Service Medals for Honorable Service.
In the past two years, Joe worked for the Veteran’s Medical Research Foundation as a Neuropsychology Research Assistant and as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor at The Salvation Army. Currently, Joe is focusing his career search in the Life Sciences industry (Biotech, Pharma, and Medical Devices/Software).
