Connections and Community: Our PMI-OC Night at Pali Wine Co.

Networking

There is something special about the energy that happens when project managers gather in person. On Wednesday, January 28th, members of the PMI Orange County community gathered at Pali Wine Co. in Anaheim for an evening that was as much about heart as it was about handshakes.

Reconnecting and Meeting New Faces

The atmosphere at the Anaheim Packing District provided the perfect backdrop for a night of meaningful engagement. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces. Reconnecting with my fellow PMI-OC volunteers always reminds me why I love being part of this chapter. On top of that, I had the pleasure of meeting several new people who were also on their journey or looking to expand their horizons in the OC area.

A Culture of Support

What struck me most throughout the evening was the spirit of mutual support. We spent time hearing each other’s stories and sharing our own professional experiences. Some attendees were there to navigate their next career move and find leads for their job search. Others were focused on making those human connections that help us grow as leaders in the project management space.

No matter the goal, everyone was there to lift each other up. Whether we were practicing elevator pitches or exchanging LinkedIn profiles, everyone walked away learning something new and with a stronger network.

A Huge Thank You

A huge thank you goes out to Garrett Armstrong, our Director of Networking, for leading such a wonderful event. His leadership made it easy for everyone to mingle, connect, and feel welcome from the moment they checked in.

If you missed this one, I highly encourage you to join us at the next mixer. Whether you're looking for a new role or just want to talk shop, come join us next time!
