Tariq Shaikh is a Project Management Professional with over 35 years of Engineering, Project and Program Management experience. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He has managed large global programs in diverse industries, including Defense, Aerospace, Telecoms, IT, Consumer Electronics, Oil and Gas Field development and Construction. Tariq has played key roles in establishing Program Management as a recognized function, establishing Program Management Offices, hiring, training and mentoring project management staff and cross-functional teams and peers for several Fortune 500 companies. He has been frequently leading strategic initiatives including organizational spin-offs and footprint consolidation projects. Tariq is currently managing the Global PMO for ITT leading a portfolio of new product development programs for aerospace and defense industries, with project teams spread across 8 countries in three continents.
Tariq joined PMI in 2000 and became an active volunteer for the Orange County Chapter in 2006. His Pre-Board services included serving as the Dinner Chair, teaching as an instructor at PMP Workshops and a Speaker at ATS. Tariq has also served on the Chapter’s Boards of Directors and Governors as VP Finance, IT Director and Director of Strategic Initiatives. His contributions during this period included launch of two generations of PMI-OC Website, documenting IT and Finance Processes and Procedures, revising Chart of Accounts to align with Strategic Board of Governors Organization, developing Chapter Strategic Plans and spearheading the first ever Chapter Maturity Assessment
As President his goals are to:
- Provide the strong leadership necessary to fully transition the chapter from a developmental to a strategic organization
- Build our volunteer organization by providing opportunities that benefit both the chapter and the individual
- Implement more structured business planning processes ensuring focus on initiatives that support our vision, mission and long term goals
- Have fun and share his enthusiasm for the discipline of project management and the PMI Orange County chapter
Gregory (Greg) Scott brings over two decades of Project, Engineering, Manufacturing and IT Management experience to his clients. With a proven track record of varied management positions, successful projects in diverse business environments and a unique combination of experience and education, his cross-functional skills are available to the client’s needs. Greg’s experience is supported by a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and Masters of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, further enhanced with a number of business and law related courses. Project management skills are enhanced by active membership in the Project Management Institute and continued studies to maintain the PMP certification.
Greg has been a member of PMI-OC since 2003 and earned his PMP a few weeks after completing the PMI-OC PMP Prep course. In addition to attendance at Dinner Meetings and other PMI events, he has served on the Nominating Committee, SoTec Conference committee for four conferences and attended strategic planning workshops. He was appointed to the VP-Finance on the Board of Governors to fill an unexpected vacancy in October 2010. He was elected to the BOG for the new term starting April 2011 and continued in the VP Finance position. Greg looks forward to serv ing the chapter in the role of President and encourages our members to enhance their PMI OC exsperience by volunteering and participating in as many events as they can..

With over 30 years’ experience as a Software Engineering Project and Program Manager, Michael has been a member of the PMI-OC chapter since 2011. He has worked in the defense and commercial software industries, including as a Program Manager at Hewlett Packard and a Project Team Leader at Boeing. Michael excelled as a Webmaster on the IT team and then IT Director, before moving up to serve on the Board of Governors as the VP of Administration and Technology. In 2013 he was honored as Volunteer of the Year, an award that recognizes outstanding volunteer service. Michael’s contributions to the chapter include leading the IT team in implementing the latest version of the PMI-OC website, the online advertising/sponsorship store, the integration of the Milestones Magazine into the chapter’s website, and the upgrade of the website in support of the 2014 Annual Conference.
Goals as Vice President of Administration and Technology:
Provide leadership in the continued development of the chapter’s IT infrastructure, including implementation of a state of the art website, IT technologies, and tools to support the collaboration of chapter’s hard-working volunteer teams.
Build an Administration team that enhances both the membership and volunteer experience, in addition to ensuring that the basic operational needs of the chapter are met.
Ensure that the volunteer experience at PMI-OC is not only engaging and fun, but also rewarding for those who generously donate their time. It’s important to support and mentor the individuals who have made Project Management their carrier choice.
Adam Khamseh has been a member of PMI-OC since 2007. He has over 17 years experience as a project/program manager, working in the automotive and medical device industries.
Adam has a PhD in engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and an Executive MBA from the University of California-Irvine Paul Merage School of Business.
Adam served as the Director of Strategy for PMI-OC in 2011. His goals for joining PMI-OC chapter’s Board of Governors are to ensure alignment of organization’s mission and values with PMI, ensure alignment of organization’s mission and values with customer needs, and evaluate risks vs. benefits of PMI-OC provided programs and services.

Robbin Mackenzie Thomas is an experienced Project Manager with over 20 years of top-level and detailed experience coordinating prime, associate and subcontrator development project teams valued at over $50 million. She is a self-starter with extensive program oversight experience reporting to and collaborating with executives and customers. She has well refined interpersonal & team building skills with ability to motivate professionals towards successful project completion.
Robbin is an active member of the Project Management Institute Orange County, Calif. Chapter. She recently accepted Director of External Marketing position. She co-chaired 2010 Project of the Year award contest and ran the 2009 Career Fair for the chapter. She has led large volunteer project teams for several non-profit organizations for over 12 years. She held director positions for corporate outreach and education for the Amelia Earhart Society within Boeing. She was also instrumental in creating an employee mentoring program.
Robbin is currently on the Project Management Advisory Committee for the University of Redlands. She developed a “Bridge the Gap” program that will complement the certification program commencing early 2011.
She now wants to serve on the PMI-OC Board of Governors to take her strategic planning and team building experience to the next level by assisting PMI-OC to become a premier chapter by:
• Re-energizing membership engagement with chapter activities.
• Assist in creating a cohesive leadership team supporting collaborative chapter goals
• Increase corporate involvement and partnership to enhance member value
• Increase offerings to membership that promote project management knowledge/experience by collaborating with diverse industry experts
Robbin sees herself as a transformational leader with a strong vision and commitment to support and promote PMI-OC toward exceptional success.

Cindy has been a member of PMI since 2004 and a member of PMI-OC since 2006. She has over 25 years experience as a IT project manager, working in a variety of industries such as retail, distribution, manufacturing and entertainment. She has been volunteering for PMI-OC since 2006 in launching the new website from the ground up and has received the Top Volunteer Award 3 years in a row and the 2008 President’s Award for Oustanding Achievement. In 2010, as the PMI-OC IT Director, she has streamlined the cycle of setting up the events, set up procedures and policies for IT and established the process of uploading all events information to a centralized repository resulting in a more efficient flow and saving a tremendous time for our volunteers.
As the PMI-OC Governor of Strategic Planning, she wants to promote the organization’s growth through a stronger partnership with the other departments, a tighter alignment to the Chapter’s goals, to continue to deliver excellent and valuable service to our members and to provide a fun and rewarding experience to all our volunteers.
